After releasing what has become one of my favorite albums last year "The Altar", alt-pop goddess BANKS is back with another track to obsess over called "Underdog". With this latest offering, she continues to show how she is a true force in the pop and experimental electronic world and one of the most compelling artists around. I know she definitely holds the title of being one of my top favorite artists. Dedicated to the unassuming, the under-appreciated, the underdogs of the world, her latest song is just another example of how truly brilliant she is. Speaking on the track she says:
"the song came from a studio session in which she was feeling ferocious,
as if there was "a beast inside of [her]."
Banks kicks off her tour tonight in Los Angeles (which I am still hoping to be able to go to...) and I can't wait to hear what other brilliance is to come from her. In the meantime, check out "Underdog" below:
